Born and raised on the West Coast, with strong Southern Roots; 'the Ex-Country Band' captures the thrill of “Big Rock” from the 70s & 80s while putting it's own unique spin on today's sound. The ex-Country Band, TW James' “less Country” project ,features lyrics which often come right out of “left field'--(Who but TW, would reference the 'Rocky and Bullwinkle Show' of the late 50's, early 60s, in a such a powerful rock ballad as 'I Could Use a Little Heaven'?) Atypical approaches to rhythm and vocals resonate with listeners on many levels. And,of course, TW's six-stringed arsenal leads the charge with instantly recognizable guitar rifts, power chords and lead work.
